Michoacán to Michigan is a compelling documentary telling the story of Valeriano and Martina Fraga’s journey from Morelia, in the state of Michoacán, Mexico to the “Thumb” area of Michigan in the United States of America.
In 1919, during the Mexican Revolution, they left their home country to seek safety and stability in America. 2019 marked the 100th anniversary of their family’s crossing.
Special bonus footage of programming at the Detroit Institute of Arts screening is also available for no charge.
